Partner Jonathan Duncan recently successfully resolved a large mesothelioma claim arising from occupational exposure to asbestos fibres involving a large local Employer.
The claim involved careful consideration and analysis of the use of old and decaying buildings containing asbestos based products. Unfortunately a number of these products were damaged over time which resulted in the daily release of large amounts of asbestos fibres within a confined working environment without any ventilation. Regrettably the Claimant developed terminal mesothelioma several decades later and sadly passed away during the High Court proceedings. The Claim was continued and resolved by the Claimant’s Estate resulting in a large settlement.
