Given the often negative impact of acrimonious and lengthy litigation on those parties affected by a marriage breakdown, more and more separating couples in Northern Ireland, and indeed more divorce lawyers in Northern Ireland, are investigating an area of practice known as ‘collaborative law’ as an alternative way of dealing with any legal issues when a couple decide to separate.
