The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors has introduced new mandatory conflicts of interest requirements for agents involved in UK commercial property investments which will take effect from 1 January 2018. Amongst other things, the new rules will bring to an end the practice of “double-dipping” and have been introduced to address these and other risks identified during the recent Global Conflicts of Interest Consultation. Primary school unlawfully discriminates against young school girl as a result of her disability (ASD).

Worthingtons Solicitors were instructed on behalf of a young primary school child, who suffers from Aspergers Syndrome, an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and who is the subject of a Statement of Special Educational Needs. The young girl was excluded from her class residential away trip, and was suspended from school on two occasions as a result of her behaviour, which arose (it was argued) as a result of her disability and as a result of the school’s failure to put in place adequate coping strategies for her.
