Worthingtons Solicitors welcome the Giro d'Italia 2014

On 4th May 2014, Associate Solicitor in Worthingtons Commercial Department and cycling enthusiast  Alistair McKee  will take on the biggest ride of his life, the Chain Reaction Cycles Big Italian Bike Ride, which offers amateurs the opportunity to ride part of the route of this year's Giro d'Italia.

The Giro d'Italia is the second biggest grand tour in professional cycling after the Tour de France and starts in Belfast on 9th May 2014.

Alistair, who rides with East Antrim Audi Cycling Club, will tackle the longest 'Gran Fondo' option offered by the organisers which follows the full route of the second stage of this year's Giro.

The ride is 225kms (140miles) long with 1850m of climbing over the rolling countryside of North Antrim and back along the coast. Alistair will be fundraising in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and his Just Giving page can be found at - All donations are greatly appreciated.

Alistair will now commence training by eating his own body weight in pasta every weekend, in preparation for the big day. We at Worthingtons Solicitors wish Alistair every success in his marathon journey and would encourage all to donate generously.
