Worthingtons Solicitor Elaine Keenan has been recently appointed to the Children order Panel for Northern Ireland
Elaine Keenan, a member of our family and matrimonial department, has recently been appointed to the Children Order Panel by the Law Society of Northern Ireland after a rigorous assessment by way of examination and interview.
The Children Order Panel in Northern Ireland is a select group of Solicitors who are accredited to represent parties in Public Law proceedings. This complex and challenging area of law involves applications by Social Services Trusts or other public bodies in respect of the care of children.
In addition, Elaine has recently been elected to the committee of the Northern Ireland Young Solicitors Association [NIYSA]. NIYSA is a network of young Solicitors in Northern Ireland which endeavours to represent and educate Solicitors under the age of 36 and promote interaction between both the Law Society of Northern Ireland and other cross-jurisdictional bodies. Elaine was selected by the Committee to attend the Annual General Meeting of the European Young Bar Association, to be held in Barcelona from 12th – 14th June 2014.
Elaine is also a member of the Northern Irish Section of the Franco-British Lawyers Society.
