Legal Issues relating to Adoption, Wardship and Care Proceedings in Northern ireland

These sorts of cases can be complex and challenging, especially if you are a parent who is opposed to an application being made in respect of your own child. At Worthingtons Solicitors, we have specially qualified solicitors, who have the requisite experience and expertise to guide parents through these difficult and emotional cases.

We are also in a position to represent children directly, in specified proceedings where this is deemed necessary, having completed specialist training and assessment and having been appointed to the Children’s Order Panel for this purpose. There are a number of different applications which a local trust may make if they have concerns about a child. These include an application for an Emergency Protection Order, a Care Order, A Supervision Order, an Education Supervision Order or a Secure Accommodation Order. We can act on your behalf should you wish to be represented in any such case, whether before proceedings have been issued or after, and we will gain access to all relevant background information and documentation so that you are properly advised as to what to do.

We will represent you at court and make sure that all the relevant circumstances of your case are made known to the Judge. We will do everything we can to ensure that the Trust exercises it's duty to ensure that you receive the help you deserve and to fulfill their statutory obligation to ensure as far as possible that children remain with their families.

If you require advice or assistance in respect of any of these issues please do email either of your children’s law experts on clare@worthingtonslaw.co.uk or naomid@worthingtonslaw.co.uk or telephone the office on 028 91811538 to speak to someone personally and in confidence.
