Philippa Herron

Apprentice

Philippa graduated from Ulster University with a degree in Law in 2018 and a Master of Laws in Access to Justice in 2019 which focused on employment and social security law. During her Masters she was a Student Clinician within the Ulster University Law Clinic, in which she gave legal advice and representation to self-litigant Claimants in both employment law and social security matters. Philippa has also gained a further qualification in two party mediation through Mediation NI. 

Philippa was employed by a Welsh law firm where her main role was to assist in obtaining Witness Statements for the Northern Ireland Claimants in respect of the UK Infected Blood Inquiry.

Philippa joined Worthingtons Solicitors in July 2019 as a Legal Executive within the Employment Law department in our Belfast office. She has gained experience assisting on cases for both employers and employees at the Industrial Tribunal and Fair Employment Tribunal, in a diverse range of matters including Unfair Dismissal, Constructive Dismissal, Public Interest Disclosures, Equal Pay, and various Discrimination claims. Philippa will commence her studies at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in January 2021 and will qualify as a Solicitor in October 2022.
