Emily specialises predominantly in commercial litigation, advising businesses on breach of contract, debt recovery and alternative dispute resolution, as well as providing advice on the content of their terms and conditions.

Emily also specialises in education law, investigating and pursuing educational negligence claims before the High Court, advising and representing clients at the Special Educational Needs Tribunal in respect of disability discrimination claims, and appeals in relation to Statements of Special Educational Needs. She also represents clients before the School Admission Appeal Tribunal, Exceptional Circumstances Body and provides advice on various aspects of education law including Education Other Than At School and bullying.

Emily also litigates personal injury, medical negligence, public law, boundary disputes, and professional negligence claims.

  • Emily acts for a number a local shopping centres, one protracted dispute was recently resolved by way of formal mediation.
  • She acts for a Hire Purchase Company seeking recovery of vehicles and arrears pursuant to the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
