Huw Worthington is the Senior partner of Worthingtons and heads up the Private Client Department.

He was born in Welshpool and educated at Caerphilly Boys Grammar and the University of Warwick.

After several years in financial services he qualified as a Solicitor in 1990 and was a Co-founder of Worthingtons in November 2003.

Huw is a Member of the Trust and Estate Practitioners Society and runs a Legal column in a Regional newspaper.

Celia Worthington was admitted as a solicitor in 1984 having obtained her law degree from Warwick University followed by completion of the legal practice course at Chester. She trained with Eversheds Solicitors in their Birmingham office where she remained for four years post qualification within the corporate finance department.

Celia returned to the Province in 1989 to join one of Northern Ireland's leading practices where she remained as a partner until she joined Worthingtons as a partner in February 2006.

Celia specialises in commercial property, banking, telecoms and corporate and commercial law. She advises a number of UK wide corporate clients and well known local charities and is currently Chairperson of Abbeyfield (NI) a local housing association.

Celia is married to Huw, the firm's founding partner, and together they have three children.

Ciaran regularly advises and represents both private and commercial clients in relation to general litigation matters, including contractual disputes, adjudications, commercial debt recovery, and land & boundary disputes.

He oversees the expanding Clinical Negligence and Judicial review Departments for the firm, and has advised a number of Councils and Companies in relation to the defence of Health & Safety prosecutions.

He is responsible for the firm's IT and for the growing number of IT related legal enquiries.

She has particular expertise in handling significant brain and head injury cases and has a special interest in Educational Law.

She also heads the Criminal Law Department and represents private clients in all types of Criminal matters, as well as Local Councils in the Defence of Health & Safety Prosecutions.

David read law at Queens University, Belfast, graduating in 1997 before moving to London to work for KPMG as a tax specialist. David qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and became a partner in Worthingtons in 2006.

David is a qualified solicitor in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and advises commercial and institutional clients and private investors on all aspects of commercial property. In addition, David acts for telecoms companies including 3, Orange, Vodafone and Everything Everywhere Limited as well as renewable energy companies. David has represented telecoms companies advising in many inter-operator installations including those at Dublin Convention Centre, Croke Park, Aviva Stadium, Dublin Airport and Dublin Port Tunnel. In 2011, David was appointed to represent the Irish Rugby Football Union (Ulster Branch) in connection with the redevelopment of Ravenhill Stadium.

Outside of work, David sits on the board of an opera company and has a keen interest in the arts. David is a former competitive downhill skier and continues to enjoy recreational skiing. David enjoys watching most sports except Formula 1 racing.

Louise has seven years post qualification experience in employment law litigation and works closely with employers across the public, private and third sectors providing practical advice and assistance in respect of the application of their internal procedures to individual employee cases and further providing advice and representation in respect of all categories of employment claims before the Industrial and Fair Employment Tribunals and the civil courts. She regularly advices on restructuring issues including individual and collective redundancies and the application and implication of TUPE. She has particular interest and experience in cases involving claims of detrimental treatment for trade union activities, discrimination on grounds of political opinion relating to trade union activities and beliefs and claims of direct and indirect discrimination arising from recruitment and selection exercises.

She writes regular updates on employment law developments for both the Ulster Business and the Legal Island Email Update service. She also speaks at Seminars and provides in-house training for clients.

In addition, Catherine has a growing Chancery and Commercial Court practice, with several land disputes and professional negligence matters.

He qualified as a Solicitor in September 2010 and is currently working in our Belfast office litigation department, where he specialises in general litigation; land, property and contract disputes; defence of criminal prosecutions for both companies and individuals & disputes involving public law/human rights issues. Brian has a keen interest in Judicial Review.

Outside of work, Brian is a keen golfer, enjoys attending the gym and is involved with church and community work.
